How to Make a Peplum Blouse from a Shirt

We have presented you many shirt transformation projects, but we never showed you how to create a peplum blouse from your boyfriend’s shirt. Peplums are still trending now and they will be trending for a long period of time. Peplums look great on every body type because they make your waist look thinner. If you have some time and want to make something creative with the help of a few tools, try this tutorial.

You will need:
– shirt;
– scissors;
– thread;
– pins;
– sewing machine.

Directions: Take the shirt on and mark your waist line with the help of the pins. Cut and separate the top and bottom of the shirt at the marked place. Take the top part of the shirt and remove the sleeves of it like you see in the pictures. Cut the sleeves to half and sew them back. Sew the seam for your waist and attach the bottom part to the upper part by creating small waves in the material. Be careful how you sew the waist line if the material is not elastic you will need to attach a button to the front for the closure system. If you have a beautiful waist belt, you can use it in order to create a more chic look. Enjoy!
