From Pringles Can to Pretty Vintage Box – DIY

Make а cute box for your glasses, pencils or…why not?… jewelry, using a Pringles chips can.

You will need:
– big Pringles chips box;
– thick cardboard;
– colored paper;
– beads ( as box’s ”legs”);
– cutter;
– scissors;
– glue;
– marker;
– needle and thread;
– lace;
– cute button;
– cute elastic.

Directions: Take off the top and cut off the ring around the top. Place the glasses (or pencils) and measure how long the box should be. Trace a line around the box or use a rubber band (or the ring you have cut off) to mark where you have to cut, then cut off the excess. You will obtain a tube. Draw a horizontal line and make a cut to create the opening. Make another horizontal line, in the interior of the tube, then use the cutter to make a scratch on that line. Be careful to NOT cut off the top! Now, take the cutted bottom of the initial box and draw two circles on the thick cardboard. Cut them out. Cover them with paper and paint them as you wish. Let dry, then cover the exterior of the box with colored paper. Glue the circles to the edges of the box, but pay attention to keep it open. Glue also the beads on the bottom side, for ”legs”. Make a small hole to the top part, insert the ends of the elastic through it and tie. Use needle and thread to attach a botton to the bottom part. Decorate the box with lace and artificial flowers. Enjoy!
