Here is a new idea of how you can reuse the old jeans that have been laying around in your closet, waiting for you to decide when to throw them out. You might be surprised what you can do out of old jeans: a pair of house slippers. Didn’t think about that did you?
You will need:
– pair of jeans;
– tracing paper;
– 1/2 yard of 1/2 inch thick foam;
– puffy fabric paint;
– thread;
– scissors;
– pins;
– measuring tape;
– pencil.
Directions: Check how your feet fit in the back pockets of your jeans, because they shouldn’t be too tight. After checking you should cut off the pockets. Measure the length of the bottom of your foot. Add one inch to this measurement and draw a rectangle on the tracing paper, that will finally be the soles of your slippers. You should now cut out this rectangle 2 times out of your thick foam, and 4 times out of the jeans. Next you should place one foam rectangle in between two pieces of denim. Do this twice and now you should have two soles. Position the pockets on the soles and after fixated, sew them together. Sew at 1/2 inch from the edge, each slipper. Use the puffy paint for drawing lines on the bottom of each slipper, after that let them dry. Enjoy!
