Delicious Chocolate Caramel Turtle Flan Recipe

This recipe is a delight for the taste buds, think of all that chocolate and melted caramel, how great they go together, and if we add cinnamon and chopped pecans to the mix it sounds like true heaven. This recipe requires some ingredients and work, but don’t worry, it will all be worth as the taste of this can’t be compared to anything. Surprise your guests and family with it and why not, if you are single and having a boyfriend, make him a dessert and you might be a winner for the ring.

Delicious Chocolate Caramel Turtle Flan Recipe

1. For the cake:
– 1 cup of dulce de leche;
– 3/4 cup of softened butter;
– 1 cup of sugar;
– 1 whole egg;
– 3/4 cup of Gold Medal flour;
– 1 cup of cake flour;
– 3/4 tsp. of baking powder;
– 3/4 tsp. of baking soda;
– 1/3 cup plus 2 tbsp. of cocoa powder;
– 1 tsp of ground cinnamon;
– 1 cup plus 2 tbsp of buttermilk.

2. For the flan:
– 1 (14 ounce) can of sweetened and condensed milk;
– 1 (12 ounce) can of milk that is evaporated;
– 4 whole eggs;
– 1 tsp. of vanilla extract;
– 1 tsp. of coconut extract.

3. For the topping:
– 1 cup of dulce de leche;
– half cup of finely chopped pecans;

4. Other:
– butter for the pan;
– a bundt pan;
– a big oven rack;
– different bowls and utensils as a mixer.

1. First thing you want to do is to position the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees F.
2. Butter the bundt pan then sprinkle it with some flour and take down the excess of it.
3. For the flan, take a blender and combine in it the condensed milk with the evaporated milk, the eggs and the vanilla and coconut extract. Blend them together until smooth and leave it behind for now.
4. Now, set up the cake mixture as follows: take a large bowl and beat the butter with the sugar with the help of an electric mixer then scrape the bowl. Beat in the eggs then separately on a different recipient mix the flour, cake flour, the baking powder and baking soda and ultimately the cinnamon and cocoa. Now, add half of this flour mixture to the beaten sugar and butter with half of the quantity of the butter milk. Mix well then add the rest of the flour mix and butter and mix again.
5. Pour the batter into the bundt then pour the flan mixture to the cake blatter.
6. Take a big oven rack and place the bundt in it, then add 6 cups of water to the rack.
7. Bake for one hour until toothpick comes out clean then let it cool down for one hour.
8. Refrigerate cake for several hours then invert it on a serving platter. Add the cup of dulce de leche to the top then add the chopped pecans. The recipe is ready!
