How To Plan A Special Marriage Proposal For The Love Of Your Life

Marriage is a big step but when it’s with the right person it seems like something you just have to do and all fears related to the idea of marriage seem to fade away. Instead, the real fear becomes being able to create a wedding proposal that is worthy of your significant other.

While you do want it to seem like something spontaneous you also want it to be special and something that you both will remember. Also, you might want to share this moment with the special people in your life, and hers. To get the most out of it, it will have to be a group effort.

You should consider teaming up with a few friends or maybe friends of hers to ensure you can get the big day right. Having someone on the inside on her side will help you keep it a secret and it will also help you make sure that things on her end areas you would like them to be. Through a team effort, you can make sure that everyone involved is at the right place at the right time. These are some important things you should keep in mind to make the day even better.

1. Choosing The Location

While there are a lot of romantic locations in the world, if you tell the bride-to-be that you are taking her on a trip to the coastlines of Italy, it might ruin the surprise. Instead, you can look for locations that are closer by and those that will seem more like a regular night out rather than something extremely special.

If you happen to be near a place that is really romantic you could somehow go there without disclosing exactly where you are going. Or you could make it nostalgic by going to the place where you guys first met, or going to school together, or anything else from the past that you have in common.

2. Company

You could either do it completely solo, in that it is just you two when you propose, or you could have some company. Again, depending on whether or not you are keeping it a surprise you can plan it in different ways. However, the one thing that is important is that you are there before time so you have enough time to double-check that everything is ready.

If you want to have a band there playing smooth jazz, make sure they are there before time too. Get in touch with your friends, your family, her friends, her family, and make sure everyone is there for the big moment.

3. Jewelry

Nothing will set the deal in stone like the stone itself. If your bride doesn’t like wearing rings then you might want to get something else but traditionally, a nice diamond ring is a way to go. It’s really about the thought more than the actual gift but everyone wants to give their fiancé a nice ring. Consider getting two stone diamond rings rather than a single stone diamond ring to make it a bit different. Also, most people will go for yellow gold, you could try white.

You can personalize the ring by writing your initials on the inside or maybe the date of when you first met or the date of the proposal itself. If you want you can get the ring as part of a larger set complete with a necklace and earrings. If she likes a certain style or certain precious stone, consider getting that.

4. Environment

What do you want the place to be like? Usually, the evening time is when most people carry out proposal ceremonies but if you like the winter sun you could do something in the afternoon too.

You could do a lot of things to enhance the natural environment like have some live music, or just have some music playing in the background, have some flowers, have some food and snacks if you are having a proper event. If it’s a moment that just the two of you are sharing then you could always go out for a romantic dinner later.

Hopefully, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for both of you, and you want to make sure you remember it well. Consider having professional photographers and videographers present to help you capture every moment of the event.

While your friends might want to take some photos as well, it would be much nicer if they could sit down and enjoy the event rather than have to be running around getting the best angle to take photos. Moreover, a professional photographer can get you much better quality photos and you can even have a little photoshoot after the actual event itself. Start brainstorming and put your ideas down beforehand. It can take longer to prepare than you think.
