Prepare a delicious vegan twix bars dessert without needing any oven, just some tools, your creative skills and a few ingredients. They are a perfect and healthy alternative for the sugary sweets you find in supermarkets.

Ingredients:
1. For the “shortbread”
– 1 cup of raw macadamia nuts;
– 1/2 tbsp of maple syrup;
– 2 tbsp of agave syrup;
– 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
– pinch of salt.
2. For the caramel
– 6 large pitted medjool dates;
– 3 tbsp of almond butter;
– 1/2 tsp of water or more if needed;
– pinch of salt.
3. Topping
– 1 cup dark chocolate chips that are dairy free.

Directions: Take some baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. We start preparing the “shortbread” by taking the macadamia nuts and start working them in the food processor. We add the maple and agave syrup, the vanilla and salt and mix them with the nuts. Take the mixture and roll it into a ball, form a log, flatten it on the baking sheet and put it into the freezer. We prepare the caramel by adding the dates and almond butter in the food processor. Add water as needed until the mixture is smooth and not sticky. Take the caramel and put it over the shortbread and put back into the freezer for another 30 minutes then take them out and cut small bars from it. After this, melt the chocolate chips in a small pan over boiling water. Take the bars and with the help of 2 forks coat them one by one into the chocolate. Place all the bars back on the baking sheet, let them in the freezer overnight and the next day you are ready to serve them!
