This recipe is suited for any weekend with your children or simply for a meeting with friends for a cup of tea and some gossip. More particularly, let’s not forget about the Easter time. It is fun to make this cake and you will feel relaxed and satisfied after finishing it. All you need is some patience and determination.

You will need:
– 2 chocolate cake mixes;
– 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate;
– 1 cup heavy whipping cream;
– green fondant;
– orange food color;
– cake mix;
– crushed Oreo’s.
Tools:
– leaf cutter;
– vein embossing mat;
– jelly roll pan;
– bread pan;
– baking spray;
– carrot shaped cookie cutter.

Directions:
For the carrot leaves you should prepare a day before making the cake. Use a premade fondant. Stretch it and use a vein embossing mat and a leaf cutter. Cut out several sizes of leaves and put them on flower formers and let them dry overnight.
For the carrots, prepare a cake mix and add to it some orange food color. Take the jelly roll pan, spray and line it with parchment paper, pour in the cake mixture and bake until done.
For the carrot patch cake, use the bread pan and spray it with baking spray. Using the carrot shaped cookie cutter, cut your carrots out from the orange cake you made. Put the carrots on a cookie sheet and freeze them. Line the frozen carrots in the center of your pan.
For the chocolate batter, take two chocolate cake mixes and put them together. Pour the chocolate batter over the frozen carrots, and put everything in the heated oven. Use a toothpick to test if done. Take the cake out of the oven and let cool down. Flip over on a wax paper.
To decorate the cake, use crushed Oreo cookies and Cuisinart to make the dirt.
For the frosting, mix up ganache – 1 boiling cup heavy whipping cream and finely chopped 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate and stir until it is all smooth, then set aside and let cool down. Use tooth picks to know where the center of the carots are. Start spooning the ganache on the center of the cake and it will run off sides. Sprinkle some more crushed Oreo’s over it. Use the ganache to fixate the leaves in arranging them to make small bunches.
When you will cut your cake it will look like it has carrots in it.
