Have you ever thought to reuse a broken ball and transform it into a cute bag? Check out the directions and the video below to find the procedure.
You will need:
– a ball: basketball, soccer ball, football, rugby ball, volleyball…;
– a zipper;
– 2 key-chain rings (or shower curtain rings);
– neoprene glue (rubber glue);
– a strap (you can use one from a sport bag);
– cutter;
– laundry pliers.
Directions: Start to open the belly using a cutter. Make a line on top of the ball, 2 cm longer than the length of the zipper. Glue the zipper. Put a generous amount of glue on one side of the zipper and on the inner surface it is going to be stuck to. Stick both surfaces together and use some laundry pliers while it dries. Do the same thing with the second part of the zipper. Make two small holes about 2cm at each extremity of the zipper, to place the strap. Use the diameter of the key ring to find the length between them. Now slide the rings through the holes and stop once they are half way. The rubber will be squeezed in the ring and you’ll have a firm attach to the ball. Have fun!
