Lining the eyes is one of the most powerful ways to change and correct small flaws of the face, either you have too close or too far apart eyes, or you have small or big eyes, you can make them to look as you wish, better say create illusions and shades that they are different without surgery, just makeup. So lets see a few tips for different eye shapes, how you can make them look better and correct small flaws they imply.
1. Hooded eyes.
Hooded eyes mean that you have a fold of small skin hanging over the socket line of the eyes. You might have born with this or in time and with aging you just get it, as the skin loses its elasticity. To correct this you can apply a very light eye shadow on your inner corners of the eyes and on the brow bone then a dark eye shadow on the hooded area. Line the upper lash line the classic way.
2. Round eyes.
When you have round eyes and you want to make them look more elongated, almond shaped, the best solution is the cat-eye. Use light eyeshadow on your lid and dark one across the lash line and extend it to the outer corners.
3. Eyes that are set forward.
If you add eyeshadow on the entire eyelid and extend it to the upper corners you can correct this type of eyes and make them more balanced looking. Highlighting should be done only under the brow.
4. Small eyes.
If you have small eyes and you want to make them look bigger and larger you have to use light and pastel eyeshadows and some medium toned ones on the eyelids. Don’t use dark eyeshadows as they will make them look even smaller. Light colors will make them look more open and bright.
