Dye Your Hair at Home – Step by Step Tutorial

dye-your-hair-at-home

Most of time dyeing your hair at a professional salon can get very expensive. Even if you need to do it because you have grey hair, because the roots are showing or you just need a change, dyeing your hair at home is actually pretty easy. At first, it can get messy, especially with longer hair, but with time you will master the technique. Check out the directions and the video below to find the procedure.

Steps:
1. Prepare some old clothes or towels, a pair of gloves, and a wet cloth (for the removal of unwanted dye in certain areas of your skin).
2. Get your hair dye and prepare the solution following the instructions from the box.
3. Spread some hair conditioner or Vaseline around your ears and headline just in case you reach those areas (it will protect them and make the dye get off easier).
4. Section your hair and always start applying from the roots and forehead then keep going on 1-2 cm small sections. If you dye the entire length use a comb to spread the solution better.
5. After you finish, use a Q-tip to remove the dye from the skin.
6. Leave the dye in your hair as it’s mentioned in the written instructions from the box.
7. Rinse until you see that the water is clean.

Tip: For best results, use a dye on hair that wasn’t recently washed (at least one day).
