One of the common certainties in life that you may not have thought of can include fashion trends. Yes, they change, but they are always there, and they always exist. And now that (hopefully) things in our world are changing constantly, one of the main questions many fashion aficionados have is what type of clothing is going to be popular now that we are ready to ditch the loungewear? Here are some things to keep in mind:
According to Dressbarn, the biggest fashion trends ahead would be such things as simply dressing up for occasions yet again. Moreover, this trend doesn’t just apply to vacationing or going out, but it also applies to finally getting that rocking outfit out of the closet that people have been saving since before the start of the pandemic and showing it off to the world as well.
As a part of dressbarn’s recent survey, the results showed some very surprising clothing behavior from consumers both during the pandemic and how those might change in the near future.
For example, some of the clothing choices that consumers prioritized during the last year and a half were such things as tops and blouses (47%), loungewear (41%), jeans (40%), shoes and accessories (37%), activewear (33%), pants (29%), sweaters (26%), dresses, skirts, or jumpsuits (22%), coats and jackets (21%), and swimwear (17%).
Of course, now that more and more people are starting to step back out and be social, many are now wanting to refresh their clothing choices. There are some surprising elements that the respondents are looking forward to.
Interestingly enough, these survey participants had plenty of other things to look forward to in terms of fashion. Other reasons that survey participants said they were looking forward to dressing up again would be for such things as casual outings (61%), vacation (43%), date night (42%), parties (34%), lounging at home (29%), going to the beach or the pool (27%), going to some weddings (21%), doing the club scene or having a night out (16%), or doing the gym or various outdoor activities (14%).
Of course, this all begs the question: just what fashion trend, in general, are people looking forward to, and the answer to that question is classic button-downs. That’s right. This is the one piece of apparel that survey participants want in their closets. It is one of those clothing trends that never seem to go out of style, and that’s because it is a great way to look both professional and casual at the same time.
Moreover, the current summer fashion trends that seem to be garnering the most interest would be pastels and tie-dye options. Many seem to be going for kimonos and Capri lounge sets as just one example.
This goes to show you that clothing purchases and shopping will always continue whether online or in person.. These and many other trends will continue to come out or come back, and many of us will likely experiment with some of the biggest fashion trends ahead!
