Contouring and highlighting are great techniques for shaping your face, but they are not enough if you want to give your cheeks a more vivid and colorful look. In order to avoid looking weird or like a clown you have to apply blush on your face according to your face shape. Besides applying the blush in the right spots don’t neglect the quality of the products you are using, the color of them and the brushes you will use to apply the blush.
How to apply blush according to your face shape:
1. Oval face: apply blush in the middle of your cheeks right under the bones.
2. Heart face: apply blush starting from the temple of your head and go down right under the bones of your cheek, this will help with balancing out.
3. Square face: apply some blush on your cheek bones and in the corners of your forehead, it will take away the roughness.
4. Round face: make a long line of blush right under your cheekbones and you will make your face look longer and skinnier.
