The Magical Glow in the Dark Jewelry is Stealing People’s Heart

Throughout the years, we have seen some of the most beautiful pieces of jewelry; some so beautiful they leave you breathless. Think you’ve seen it all? Then maybe you haven’t seen this gorgeous glow in the dark jewelry.

Jewelries aren’t just accessories to boost your confidence; they’re also a fashion statement and represent who you are. The glow in the dark jewelry pieces made by Canadian jewelry designer and photographer Manon Richard are so mythical you’d definitely love them if you’re a fan of fantasy books or movies.

Manon, who runs her Etsy shop named Papillon9, is a specialist when it comes to glow in the dark jewelry. Each piece is handmade, and the luminous phosphorescent paint imbued jewelries are all uniquely made. The pieces are also likened to the rainbow, since it can take on colors of time passing by. Manon is heavily inspired by the view around her house, forest and the animals as well as words she hears or reads somewhere.

The jewelries are also “rechargeable”; they can be charged under any ambient light, but they will glow more if subjected to direct sunlight for 15 minutes or under a black-light. You’d have to charge them from time to time to make sure that they can keep on glowing. Some colors can glow up to 9 to 12 hours, and the lifespan is about 20 years. It’s definitely worth it!

Manon’s love of glow in the dark items started when she was a kid. Just like any other kids, Manon had a hard time sleeping in the dark, but found comfort when seeing “a little light that was flashing in the wall power switch”. Her childhood fear has helped her to come up with various glow in the dark products; pendants, ear cuffs, bookmarks, rings, and earrings. Her creations can be both simple and intricate; and you’re always free to choose which one is your favorite. Her wide range of product options would leave you wanting for everything she has for sale.
