Along with the Easter eggs, the Easter baskets filled up with candy are also a symbol of this holiday. Today, we wish to share with you this gorgeous dessert that looks just like a miniature Easter Basket filled up with candy. This recipe only needs some assembly while the basics are quite easy and make of it a great craft project to make with any child.

You will need:
– 1 1-lb sugar cookie dough;
– 1/2 cup frosting;
– 1/2 cup coconut flakes;
– specked jelly beans;
– small colored bonbons;
– green food coloring;
– assorted colored sprinkles;
– licorice strings;
– muffin pans;
– nonstick cooking spray.

Directions: Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F and spray the muffin pans with the nonstick cooking spray. Use a cookie scoop and separate small balls of cookie dough. Roll each ball in different colored sprinkles and place each ball in a miniature muffin pan. Once the muffin pans are full, put them into the preheated oven and let them cook for about 15 minutes until they’re set on the edges but are still soft in the middle. In these 15 minutes, take a recipient and dye the coconut flakes with the green food color so it will resemble grass. Unwind the licorice strings and cut them into small sections so that you can use them as the basket handles. When you get the cookies out from the oven, immediately press your finger in the middle of each one, so that you will form the indentations and leave them to cool completely. Place the frosting in a bag and cut off the corner, so that it will make it easier for you to fill the small center of your cookies. Now sprinkle the frosting with the green coconut flakes and place the licorice strings into the frosting so that it will resemble a basket handle. Last step is to fill the small baskets with the small colored bonbons that will resemble small Easter eggs. You can store these cookie baskets at room temperature in an airtight container and take them out for a colored plate that will fit perfectly your Easter dinner table.
